Xpress Bikes aim is to facilitate our clients’ enjoyment of the wonderful Cornish countryside and coastline whilst maintaining as small an environmental impact as is practical.

To this end our clients will be pleased to know the following:

• Our delivery/ rescue van is 100% electric

• Both our van and bike batteries are charged with electricity generated by the solar panels on our roof.

• The cleaning agents and lubricants we use are manufcasupplied by Muc-off ™ and are fully biodegradable.

• Even our fat-tyres lessen our environmental impact as fatter tyres spread the load on soils and vegetation and are therefore not as damaging as thinner tyres.

• We endeavour to keep our water usage as low as possible—not easy when you have a dozen our more bikes to wash.  So please do not be surprised if your hire bike is carrying some dirt.  It is not because it is unloved, it will have been checked over, adjusted and lubricated prior to hire, and the worst of the dirt brushed off, but we try to limit washing in order to lessen our environmental impact.
